White, Gray and Denim

Every girl knows that feeling, when you stare at your closet and can’t decide how to dress yourself for the day. That’s what happened to me this morning as I woke up still exhausted from the day before. I looked through the contents of my closet for what seemed like an eternity and couldn’t make a decision. It’s moments like this when I turn to Pinterest for a little inspiration. I found this picture and knew I had to recreate it!

It’s the simplicity of the outfit that gets me. I really love the combo of a simple tee with a denim jacket that makes this look effortless. The delicate jewelry adds a nice touch too! Here’s my take:

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2014

Today is the day… the official kickoff of NY Fashion Week (Also, let’s not forget about the Winter Olympics! So pumped about that too!) I can’t begin to describe how excited I am to see the artistry and elegance of the 2014 collections. My only wish is that I could witness the beauty in person! Oh, what I would give to sit front row and center at the best shows with the likes of Alexa Chung and Leandra Medine… a girl can dream, right?

Mixing Prints: Stripes and Leopard

Back in the day when I wasn’t quite as fashion savvy, I would have never combined multiple prints in one outfit. I thought it looked odd, and to be honest a little tacky. Before fashion blogs and Pinterest took off, I only had the influence of magazines and shows like The Fashion Police that love to show the worst possible outfits on the red carpet. I mean, can you blame me for being so narrow minded? Not the best places to find outfit inspiration, but over the years I’ve realized that there is a tasteful way to mix prints. One of my favorite combinations, stripes and leopard, look super glam together when it’s done in moderation. My favorite way to combine the two is with a simple striped tee and a pair of leopard shoes or other accessory. Here are a few of my favorites from Pinterest. Of course I had to include Julia from Gal Meets Glam because she always pulls off the duo perfectly!

Hunter Boots 3 Ways

I was super excited to purchase my first pair of Hunter Boots a few weeks ago. I’ve wanted a pair for so long after hearing such good things about them and seeing pictures all over Pinterest (Follow me here). Hunter recently came out with their Spring line and the new arrivals (here) are adorable! I’m obsessed with the bright pinks and reds, but for my first pair I went a classic black. I finally had the chance to take them out of the box when it snowed in Greenville, and I’ve barely taken them off since! They’re so comfortable and the quality is amazing. After a few suggestions made by my followers, I decided to style my Hunter boots 3 of my favorite ways! Whether you’re on the go or the occasion is slightly dressier, there’s something for everyone!

Pinterest Inspiration: Elbow Patch Sweaters

There’s no doubt that Pinterest inspires women from all over the world to be creative in the way they dress, cook, travel, exercise, decorate, etc. The list goes on and on! I’ll admit that I’m slightly obsessed with Pinterest, it’s a great way to gather and share ideas that you can save as long as you want!
