I was very humbled to be recently chosen by ModCloth as a participant in their “Uniquely You” Campaign! ModCloth is a great online brand that adds femininity with a vintage flair to clothing, accessories, and decor. If you want a perfect day-to-night outfit, look no further. I kid you not when I say that every piece is versatile enough to wear all day, no matter the occasion.
This campaign is all about expressing individual style and putting your own spin on creating a full ensemble around one piece. When I saw this ‘Lead by Example’ dress, the first thing that popped into my mind was Kate Middleton. I can totally see her waltzing down the street in this dress, looking perfect as usual. Feeling a little inspired by Kate’s effortless and classic style, with many additions of my own, I created my ideal “office-to-date night” outfit!

Spring is almost here and I’m starting to stock up my wardrobe. There are quite a few pieces I’ve had my eye on, but it’s so hard to choose when there are similar and inexpensive alternatives! I thought I’d start the first of a series of “Save or Splurge” Spring posts on accessories. I think all ladies can agree that the first thing we look for in a brand new Spring wardrobe are a few staple accessories that bring each outfit together!
Ivanka Trump Pumps // Paul Andrew Slingbacks
Amazon Wayfarers // Karen Walker
Kate Spade // Tory Burch
So what do you think? Save or splurge?
I was so excited to finally receive my Cathryn Ann Bracelet in the mail yesterday. It wasn’t until recently that I discovered this line of jewelry on Instagram after seeing a few bloggers wearing these fun tassel bracelets! Some are double-linked like mine, and some are single with a thicker chain if you’re into the chunkier baubles. Either way, these bracelets are perfect for stacking! I guess that means I’ll have to try other colors! Visit Cathryn Ann here for her new Spring line.

SO thankful for the warm(ish) weather we’re having today. I finally had the chance to wear these pink beauties that hid in my closet during our snowpocalypse. I paired them with cuffed jeans (although I’d love to pair them with boyfriend jeans, I’m thinking these or these) and a comfy peplum top. Wearing pumps with a 4.25″ heel is tough work y’all! It definitely takes some getting used to… I know my feet will appreciate it when I’m out in the working world and wear heels on a regular basis.

So naturally I rewarded myself with Starbucks for walking in heels for ten minutes. Baby steps! Baby steps!
As much as I enjoy boots during Fall and Winter, I am so over the cold weather determining what I wear on my feet every day. I’m already dreaming about Spring weather, longer daylight, and wearing wedges and sandals again! I’ve already begun to stock up on pumps like this pair from Nasty Gal and this one from Nordstrom. Here are a few of my current favorites from the web:
I. Honeycomb Heel II. Pink w/ Pointed Toe III. Red Laser Cut
IV. Gray Reflect V. Cobalt Blue Strap
I. Polka Dot Oxfords II. Pink Ballet Flats III. Whale Smoking Slippers

South Carolina rarely sees snow that actually sticks to the ground. This morning I could not have been happier to wake up to a blanket of white covering the ground and trees! My roommate and I took the opportunity to enjoy it as much as possible before it disappears!

Today is the day… the official kickoff of NY Fashion Week (Also, let’s not forget about the Winter Olympics! So pumped about that too!) I can’t begin to describe how excited I am to see the artistry and elegance of the 2014 collections. My only wish is that I could witness the beauty in person! Oh, what I would give to sit front row and center at the best shows with the likes of Alexa Chung and Leandra Medine… a girl can dream, right?
If you’re like me and wish to follow happenings during the week a little closer, you can follow the official Instagram @mbfashionweek for the best of the runway as well as backstage details! How great is that?
