Happy Hump Day! I really love mixing patterns together to create unique outfits, and I was so excited when I found these Madden Girl slip-ons in TJ Maxx. I stood in the shoe section for a good ten minutes deciding whether or not I could really pull them off. They have a specific edge that I’ve never tried before, but ultimately I decided to give them a try. I either receive compliments when I wear them, or the “what the hell is she wearing” stare. Or if you’re like my boyfriend, make comments like “You look like a high schooler straight out of California!” Either way, I really love these shoes! They’re so comfortable and I like pairing them with a simple striped shirt or dress. The slip-on style has definitely grown on me the more I’ve worn them. I really love the espadrille version of these too, which are a tad more warm weather appropriate.
I couldn’t help but include a few pictures of Noah into today’s post. He gets so excited every time we take photos and usually I have to keep him inside, otherwise you’d see him running around me in every single picture. Yesterday I attempted to make him behave enough to take pictures with the help of a few treats. I’d say he did pretty well!
Good morning, readers! I knew it was only a matter of time before I caved and wore a romper. I say that because for the longest time I was scared to try it. I always thought rompers looked best on very tall girls. Being only 5’4″, I don’t exactly make the cut. But after seeing so many cute rompers online and in stores, it was too tempting. I decided… why not at least try one on? I saw this one on Page 6 Boutique’s Instagram and knew immediately I needed it. The floral print is perfectly feminine, but the best part is the dramatic back! I have a thing for backless tops and dresses, so this one really jumped out at me. I love wearing it with wedges or heels because it gives the allusion that I have longer legs and makes me feel a little more comfortable.
This is a great romper to take from day to night. It’s casual enough to wear with a light jacket or cardigan during the afternoon, and with heels makes the perfect outfit for date night or drinks with friends.
Good morning, readers! I hope you all had a great weekend. I went to Paramount’s Carowinds with a few friends and it was great but SO exhausting. By the end of the day we were dragging our feet, but what a better way to end the weekend than with roller coasters and ice cream!
I’m all about wearing bold colors, but sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the bold and opt for neutrals. I really love white on white, and not always the same exact shade. Last week I picked up these sandals on sale at Old Navy and I love how they compliment the piping in my top!
What’s your take on white on white?
Happy Friday everyone! It’s almost the weekend and that means another L&G’s Friday Favorites post!
This is my go-to Summer outfit. Right now I’m living in flowy tanks and I love this one from Page 6 Boutique (similar). It pairs perfectly with basically anything and is simple enough to wear bold jewelry with, like these Lisi Lerch earrings. Also, I’ve worn my panama hat non-stop because SC mugginess is like no other, and it really does a number on my hair! I lucked out and found this one in the men’s section at Target. You can shop similar hats here and here.
One of my favorite things about working out is ab day. There are only so many moves for bis, tris, back, etc. but there are TONS of different exercises you can do for your abs. I like to change up my routine because I get bored pretty easily. Lately I’ve been using a stability ball for a few of my ab exercises. It’s a really great way to work your core and test your balance at the same time. Plus, stability balls are only $20-$30 if you’re the kind of person that prefers home workouts. I really like knee tucks and wall-ups. The videos make it look easy, but if you’re not used to balancing on a stability ball, it’s tough stuff! You can view the instructional vids here and here.
Sadly I don’t currently have my own apartment as I look for a job post-graduation, but I’m definitely planning ahead for when I do. My current decor obsession is this black and white leopard print. I’m not a huge fan of having a lot of animal print decorations in the home, but there’s something about this in particular that’s so clean and beautiful. I’ll admit I even love that bathroom wall paper… but for an apartment, a few simple pillows would make for great statement pieces.
If there’s one beauty product I can’t live without, it’s nail polish. That sounds crazy but it’s true, I looooove it. I’m always looking for new colors and the next best brand. My current favorite is Sinful Colors, and you can usually find it in Target or a drug store. The best part is that they’re only $1.99 a pop! I know you’re thinking that the quality is probably terrible, but honestly it’s comparable to brands like OPI, Essie and Butter London. The color I’m wearing now is ‘Endless Blue’, and you can shop that as well as other colors here!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Good morning, readers! Often times I find myself being drawn towards flowy, colorful tops for Summer. The kind that take minimal effort to throw on and be ready for dinner or a night out. This Page 6 Boutique number is no exception! The gold tassel detail on the back really gives it that extra something special. I’m wearing this for date night with white pants and wedges, and it’s definitely going with me for a trip to the beach in a few weeks.
A thousand thanks to Page 6 Boutique for this beautiful top! Be on the lookout for more P6 goodness, coming to the blog soon. Until then, visit their website here for this tank and tons of new arrivals!

Happy hump day everyone! Today has been super busy so I’ll make this quick! Channeling my inner Regina George today and paired my favorite Loren Hope bangle with pink, silk shorts. Y’all have seen these in previous posts, and I just can’t get enough of them! They’re super comfortable and so versatile. I wore them with this open-back top from Tobi because it is SO unbearably hot outside! Tonight I’ll pair them with a flowy blouse like this or this one for dinner when the weather cools down.
Are you wearing your pink today?
